Compliance of manufacturers

Compliance of manufacturers of susceptibility testing products with EUCAST recommendations

Current version

The document "Compliance of manufacturers" has not been updated since 10 March, 2016. No further updates are planned. Users should now expect manufacturers to be fully compliant with all EUCAST recommendations and guidelines. Should this not be the case, please inform EUCAST.

Users should furthermore expect manufacturers to provide:

  1. yearly updates of breakpoints (software) when breakpoints are part of devices
  2. instructions on how to conform to EUCAST recommendations concerning internal Quality Control of AST systems, especially systems with calling ranges which do not encompass target MIC values of QC strains.
  3. warnings against malfunctioning material.
  4. advise on how to deal with agents not yet available from the manufacturer (disks, panels, gradient tests).
