Antibiotics/organisms lacking clinical data
EUCAST has been asked to prepare a list of proposals, with priorities, for clinical studies to support/refute current clinical breakpoints
where good clinical data supporting the breakpoints are highly
desirable but not currently available
. Such a list might be an incentive for people to collect data or to think about clinical studies that need to be performed. The list may also be used to support applications for funding from national agencies or other research funding bodies. It is appreciated that it would be difficult to organise prospective studies of some of the topics. Should people have clinical data to support new or refute existing breakpoints, EUCAST will be happy to receive this.
