EUCAST Subcommittees

EUCAST subcommittees are set up to deal with specific issues or areas requiring particular expertise. Consultations and decisions on subcommittee proposals are made through the EUCAST Steering Committee and follows the structure of all other consultations and decisions.

 

When subcommittees have fulfilled their remit they are disbanded but may be re-established when need arises.

Subcommittee on MIC distributions and the setting of ECOFFs. Read more in the introduction of the MIC distribution website... and in EUCAST SOP10.2

 

Subcommittee on Anaerobe Susceptibility Testing was disbanded in 2022 in favour of direct management from the Steering Committee and the EUCAST Development Laboratory. A review of current breakpoints for anaerobe bacteria and the development of a disk diffusion test are ongoing.
