Amoxicillin-clavulanate and Enterobacteriaceae from urinary tract infections

Harmonization of European breakpoints by EUCAST has highlighted a problem with breakpointsforamoxicillin-clavulanate and Enterobacteriaceaein urinary tract infections. The breakpoints were determined for systemic infections and as a result of this and to many useres consternation amoxiclav resistance levels in UTI isolates jumped from low to high.
